A day full of deep tech, startups and above all exciting conversations at LOVE DISRUPTION ’26 in Marburg.
Today we are part of LOVEDIS with Scho&Müller GmbH.
What the day shows in particular is that the know-how for new technologies and products is there. The biggest challenge is often to turn it into a story that is also understood outside of one’s own technical bubble, and then to create the right structures so that research becomes a product and a startup eventually becomes a growing company.
Three program points have particularly stuck in our heads:
💡 “Startup Strategy Hessen 2030” – Holger Follmann, Startup Commissioner Hessen
Exciting to hear how Hesse is to develop as a location for startups and what framework conditions young companies need in order not only to be created here, but also to grow in the long term.
🔬 „Building Deep Tech. What comes after the Breakthrough“ – Günter Kraft, Focused Energy
Deep Tech is research-intensive and capital-intensive. A functioning technology alone is not enough. Then come financing, industrialisation, communication and the question of how a marketable product actually emerges from this. Particularly exciting was the question of who takes over which role at C level and which skills are really needed there.
📈 „Founder Insights – How to become a scale up“ – Magdalena Pusch Wiebach (Framen), Sophia Rödiger (1KOMMA5°) and Clemens Feigl (everwave)
At some point, the point comes where you are no longer just a startup. Then structures, responsibility and also the role of the founders change.
We were particularly interested in the experiences of international growth. Remain visible as C levels and set the direction, but at the same time have strong people on site and hand over responsibility. You can’t be everywhere at the same time and you don’t have to. If it’s really burning, you’re there.
For us as a young company, this exchange is incredibly valuable. To learn from people who have already taken some of the steps ahead of us.
This is exactly what events like LOVE DISRUPTION are important for.
Thank you for the many exciting conversations and new contacts today in Marburg. We look forward to continuing to exchange with some of them!
